BREAKING: Jason Kelce and wife Kylie ‘disappeared’ after Eagles win Super Bowl for Travis Kelce after Taylor Swift dumped him while… Details here

Jason Kelce had mixed emotions as a former Eagles center

Super Bowl LIX was more than just another championship game for Jason and Kylie Kelce, it was a night filled with emotions, family ties, and divided loyalties.

With Jason’s former team, the Philadelphia Eagles, facing off against his brother Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs, the Kelces found themselves caught between support for their loved ones and deep-rooted allegiances.

Sitting in a suite at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9, the couple watched the highly anticipated matchup unfold. Jason, seen casually checking his phone, and Kylie, engaged in conversation, had openly discussed their conflicting emotions leading up to the game.

The pair, who are expecting their fourth daughter, knew this was a unique situation-one where their hearts were pulled in two different directions.

Balancing family and football

For Jason, 37, supporting his younger brother came naturally, but his loyalty to the Eagles ran just as deep. Speaking on his New Heights podcast on January 29, the former Eagles center admitted the internal conflict.

“Obviously, you’re my brother. I’ll always root for my brother,” he told Travis. “Even though I’m decked out in Eagles gear, I’m always going to root for Travis.”

At the same time, Jason couldn’t ignore his long-standing connection to the Eagles.

“The organization feels like extended family to me,” he explained.

“I would be lying if I said I don’t want the Eagles to win… but I also want Travis to win. So, that’s a long-winded way of saying I just want to see a good football game.”

Kylie, 32, faced a similar dilemma. Speaking on her Not Gonna Lie podcast on January 30, she acknowledged her admiration for Travis and the Chiefs’ historic run but reaffirmed her deep-rooted ties to Philadelphia.

“I was raised to bleed green,” she said. “I have a close relationship with a lot of people in the Eagles organization, and I get to live in the Philadelphia community, so I will also be cheering for their success.”

Ultimately, she decided not to pick sides outright. “The plan is to go to the game and to cheer.”

While the Kelce family watched from the stands, Travis, 35, reflected on what it meant to play in another Super Bowl without his brother on the opposing side. Speaking at a February 3 press conference, he shared how much he missed sharing the field with Jason, especially after their historic Super Bowl LVII matchup.

“Of course, I wish Jason was out there,” Travis admitted.

“Being at the mountaintop with your brother is something special that I’ll never forget. Obviously, being so close to him retiring, I wish he would have played another year.”
