US Election: Latest Support Rates Between Two Candidates, Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.

With less than two weeks to go until Election Day on November 5, the race between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump is heating up. According to the latest poll conducted by CNN, both candidates are tied at 47% support, indicating a close and fierce competition. CNN polls show that the two candidates’ support rates have remained virtually unchanged throughout the campaign.

In September, Ms. Harris had the support of 48% of likely voters, while Mr. Trump was at 47%.

The latest poll also found that a majority of voters (85%) had already decided which candidate they would support at the beginning of the campaign, and only 15% of voters changed their minds during the campaign. This shows the stability of the American electorate’s choices, with only 2% still undecided and 9% saying they might change their choice before voting.

In the election landscape, Ms. Harris appears to have an advantage in early voting. A CNN poll shows that among voters who have already cast their ballots, 61% support Ms. Harris, while only 36% support Mr. Trump. However, among voters who have not yet voted, Mr. Trump leads 50% to Ms. Harris’s 44%.

Registered voters’ views of both Harris (41% favorably and 52% unfavorably) and Trump (41% favorably and 54% unfavorably) are negative. Trump’s ratings are nearly identical to September, while Harris’s have become slightly more negative (down 4 percentage points in favorability).

The two candidates’ ties on top issues remain about the same as they were last month, with Trump maintaining an edge on handling the economy (50% say they trust him more, compared to just 37% who trust Harris) and immigration (50% Trump to just 34% Harris), and a slimmer edge on handling foreign policy (48% Trump to just 38% Harris).

By contrast, Ms. Harris holds a large advantage on handling abortion and reproductive rights (52% for Ms. Harris compared to just 31% for Mr. Trump) and a smaller advantage on protecting democracy (45% support Ms. Harris compared to just 41% support Mr. Trump). In the 2024 U.S. presidential race, recent polling shows Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump in a very close contest as Election Day approaches. National averages indicate a near tie between the two, with Harris holding a slight edge, though within the margin of error. Trump leads among white voters and has strong support from male voters, while Harris is ahead among non-white and female voters. Additionally, age demographics are split, with Harris performing better among younger voters and Trump holding a lead with Gen X voters
